Munson Now Offers Cash Pay Option for Some Radiology Services
Munson has implemented Fair Market Health (FMH) at select radiology service locations across our system. Fair Market Health is an easy way for patients paying out-of-pocket to receive healthcare services at an affordable, transparent price. Eligible patients simply select a service, view available pricing, pay, and schedule.

  • Please note: All imaging procedures still require a provider's order.
  • As FMH doesn’t require traditional health insurance, eligible patients are those who are:
    • Under or uninsured
    • Have a high deductible, or
    • Prefer to pay with cash
  • Note: Patients covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or TriCare are ineligible to participate in the FMH program.
  • As a non-profit healthcare system, Munson Healthcare is committed to providing high quality healthcare regardless of a patient's ability to pay.

For more on how FMH can help your patients, please refer to the following resources:

Patients Can Now Self-Refer for Screening Mammograms
To support timely patient care, promote self-advocacy, and improve outcomes, patients can now self-refer for screening mammograms at all Munson Healthcare locations without requiring a provider’s order.

Patient Has a Primary Care Provider (PCP)

  • PCP will be notified, and results will be viewable in the patient’s chart.
  • Additional breast imaging recommended by the radiologist will require an order unless we have a conditional order on file.

Patient Does NOT Have a Primary Care Provider (PCP)

  • If screening mammogram is normal, the result will be mailed to the patient and available on Munson's Patient Portal.
  • If the screening mammogram is abnormal requiring additional imaging, we will contact the patient to schedule an appointment at one of our participating close-to home PCP offices.

To not delay additional imaging or biopsy if screening mammogram is abnormal, primary care providers are asked to use the Breast Imaging Conditional Order, which can be found on the For Providers | Referral Forms webpage.

Please encourage eligible patients to have an annual 3D screening mammogram, which is covered by most insurances. Patients are encouraged to check with their health insurance provider to understand covered benefits.

Additionally, all Munson Healthcare locations now offer advanced 3D mammography as a standard for screening. These changes reflect Munson Healthcare’s commitment to Excellence in all areas of patient care.
