Stay on Your Feet This Summer

Summer brings unique fall risks, especially for older adults. Navigating crowds and walking on uneven surfaces like pavement or sand—even the transition from sidewalks to grass—can quickly spell slips, trips, and falls.

One solution recommended by Munson's Trauma Prevention Team? Use walking sticks! They help keep you steady while naturally giving you a wider stance and more breathing space from others. Click below for more ways to prevent falls this summer and beyond.

New Community Health Priorities Announced

Every three years, Munson Healthcare participates in a collaborative group called MiThrive to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment that identifies the top community health priorities for our region. These assessments are completed using trusted data sources and community feedback through surveys and events. The priorities for 2025-28 include access to care, mental health, and economic security.

Over the coming months, we’ll develop a long-term strategy in collaboration with community partners and announce an action plan in November 2025. Committed to Positive Experiences

“As a leader, I am directly responsible for creating the working environment that our team spends half their waking hours working in, and that is a huge responsibility I do not take lightly. This is a team that is relentlessly committed, wildly creative, and eager to ensure exceptional experiences for our patients.

Most recently, I have found a great deal of passion for working with the future of our nursing profession. Any chance I get to connect with a student, a new nurse, or an individual on a leadership pathway provides me with an opportunity to learn something new, inspire creative minds, and really make an impact."
