Early Detection, Advanced Protection

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the U.S.? Moreover, about 80% of women with breast cancer have no family history of the disease. Thankfully, early detection SAVES LIVES.

With 3D mammography as the standard at our 11 locations across Northern Michigan, Munson offers the most comprehensive screening available! If you’re 40 and older, don’t delay in scheduling this critical health visit. This annual screening is covered by most insurances and no referral is needed at any of our locations.

Cancer Survivor & Munson's Cowell Family Cancer Center Greeter Tim Harding Is Committed to Positivity

I was diagnosed with cancer about five years ago and started treatment at Cowell Family Cancer Center. The respect for dignity and compassion this team showed was stunning. Upon leaving a treatment session soon after I started, I mentioned to the greeter that someday I was going to work at Munson because I love to help people, and I enjoy listening to them as well.

It's hard to explain how much I look forward to coming to work each day. Getting to know the patients and staff by name and welcoming new patients into a network of people who truly care is so rewarding. No day is perfect, but we still try to make a positive impact on each and every person who comes to our door!”
