Funding Granted for Phase One of Grand Traverse Center for Mental Wellness
Munson Healthcare and community partners are collaborating to create a Center for Mental Wellness that will bring much-needed mental health, substance use disorder, and crisis services under one roof in Traverse City. This past week, the Grand Traverse County’s Board of Commissioners granted a $5 million funding request.
“We are grateful to the Board of Commissioners for their investment in the future for mental health services in Northern Michigan,” shares Munson Healthcare Chief Operating Officer Laura Glenn. “This funding approval will allow us to move forward with our first phase of expanding mental and behavioral health services for children, youth, and adults in our region.”
